Who will you be in the End?

In the beginning, God created only two human beings. The rest of the human family was born into this world. Even after almost 6,000 years, it still comes down to a simple choice between two options. Adam and Eve made the wrong choice and we have been paying for it ever since. God has not abandoned us however, and has redeemed us to Him if we so choose.

Adam and Eve gave birth to Cain and Abel. Cain and Abel brought forth an offering to God and Abel’s offering was favored over Cain’s. Cain’s jealousy led to the first murder on planet Earth. Cain was ostracized and his offspring died in the flood. Thank God Seth came along to eventually bear the offspring that Jesus would spring forth from.

All throughout the Bible, there are examples of God’s people choosing right or wrong. To follow the ways He has set before us or to be allowed to be led down the path of destruction. We are born “able” to follow God but somehow “can’t”. Interesting how the two first-born sons were named Cain and Abel, similar to Can’t and Able. The choice and responsibility is ultimately up to us. God has equipped us through His word to become able and His power removes the word Can’t from His dictionary.

I am able to follow God’s way but somehow can’t in every aspect of my life. We all try and we must continue trying. We must strengthen our “abil”ities and continue trying to do a can’tectomy on our hearts. You are able to do anything. With God there is nothing you can’t do. Whether it is overcoming a hazardous health habit, being a better brother or sister to your fellow man or simply walking in communion with God, you are able to do so and God has equipped you accordingly.

By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. Hebrews 11

In the end, it all comes down to a choice. Who do you want to be associated with when God looks at your life’s offering, Cain or Able? In the end God will separate the Cains from the Abels, the goats from the sheep and the wicked from the pure in heart. Cain's group or the can’ts will be destroyed forever and the Abel's will live forever with God as it was always meant to be.

Interesting how the Hebrew meaning of the names of the first three boys foretells the entire story of the Bible. Cain in Hebrew means Possession, Abel means Breath and Seth means Compensation. So in Hebrew – Possession destroyed Breath but Compensation was given to restore.

And that's the Whole Truth!

God Bless and remember God always answers His kneemail.
