Come to the Wedding
Tomorrow in England, Prince Harry will marry Meghan Markle. She is not of royal blood and has somewhat of a checkered past. In the eyes of the Queen, I am sure she does not believe Ms Markle is worthy to marry into the royal family. But marry in she will as that is the only way to join this kingdom. There will also be a feast no doubt as a host of thousands celebrate the union of Harry and Meghan.
In the Bible, we are referred to as the children of God and those who believe in Jesus share in the inheritance of Abraham. Yet we have lost our inheritance due to sin. Jesus came to be a sacrificial lamb like the ones in the Levitical system. His sacrifice removes our sin. But how do we reclaim our inheritance and rejoin the family of God?
Through marriage, we become part of another family and enjoy all of the benefits thereto. It is the marriage ceremony of the Lamb that will reconnect us to the Family of God as we are the bridegroom. We are arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright thanks to the sacrifice Jesus made of Himself on the cross.
Revelation 19
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”
Just like Meghan Markle, we are not of royal blood and are unworthy to marry into this cosmic kingdom. But it is the blood of Jesus that makes us worthy and gains us access to the marriage supper where we will rejoice and celebrate this awesome occasion.
What can we do in the meantime. We must do our part and invite others to the wedding feast so they can enjoy it as well. Fill the hall so everyone can rejoin the Family of God and enjoy access to His righteousness and His riches. Just like Meghan, it will be amazing to go from a simple girl to a princess.
"Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests." Matthew 22
I wish that for all of you and if you watch the wedding this weekend, keep this in mind and look forward to the day when our cup will runneth over and mercy and goodness will follow us and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.. Amen.
Do you take Him as you lawful wedded husband? I pray you say "I Do!" See you at the feast.
And that is the Whole Truth
God Bless and Remember
