Many Hands make Light Work
All of us carry burdens. Whether it is the pain of trauma from the past, a poor self image, troubled relationships or caring for others, life is not burden free. Last week in North Carolina, we saw the devastation of nature and the burden it placed on many in that area.
Fortunately, for those in North Carolina, there were plenty of helping hands willing to come to their aid. While over 30 have died from this terrible storm, many were saved in more ways than one.
God in His love for us knows we have many burdens and has offered advice in how to deal with it. In the book of Galations it says
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galations 6:2
If you have ever been involved in a community project or homeless feeding outreach, you know the power of multiple people working towards one cause. Our part on an individual level is small but when combined with the efforts of others results in great achievement. Paul compels us to live in the way of Christ example and serve others. It is truly the only road that leads to happiness.
We all must help out in any way we can and if we can come together and assist, the workload will be light on our part but will have a profound impact on those served. Each of us is carrying something and we cannot possibly carry it alone. God gave us over 7 Billion others to help us. Unfortunately, the enemy has swayed those 7 Billion individuals to be concerned with themselves rather than others.
Some people ask why these horrible events occur and why God allows them to happen? Well it is the one time we really come together and help others devastated by the tragedy. Hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and even 9/11 shows the true nature of mankind and his or her compassion for their fellow man. It is during these times we understand our purpose and forget ourselves and reach out to others.
Who will you help today? All it takes is a small effort and two hands.
And that is the Whole Truth!
Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.
And remember,
God always answers His kneemail.
