Children of God
When I was a child, I thought as a child but when I was a man I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians
The reality is we are still children in adult bodies. We still hold fast to pains and joys we experienced as a child. The psychoanalyst world is fueled by this as they spend hours digging into the tumultuous years of our upbringing.
When we are around children, our whole demeanor changes. Most of us are patient and kind and attentive to their needs. So if we are still children, couldn't we deal with people as if we are dealing with a child? Not in a condescending tone but in a kind and gentle one. An approach that is more attentive to each others needs and desires.
Our world has been infected with a kill or be killed, every man for himself belief system that it is sometimes impossible for us hold fast to this concept. The Me first movement is prevalent in every culture. Only when children are involved do we soften our tone and become more charitable. TV commercials are wide spread with organizations using children to appeal to this place in our heart to help raise money for their organization.
Luke 18
But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.
Jesus did not forbid children to come near him. In reality, we are all children in His eyes as we have not matured to the level He has in Heaven. We still have much growth and development to do and much to still learn. There is a whole universe out there for us yet to subdue. We will only be able to do that once we have reached a level of maturity in the eyes of God.
So the next time you interact with one of your fellow brothers or sisters, try looking at them as a child and see if your interaction with them is more fruitful. We are all children of God and we are still developing and growing in His truth. Let us all embrace each other in this journey and be loving and gentle with one another.
And that is the Whole Truth!
Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.
And remember,
God always answers His kneemail.
