Happy Mothers Day to all who are mothers out there.
Mothers are special to all of us and we should honor them every day. The process of child birth is extremely taxing to the female body. The male may be the stronger sex but they cannot hold a candle to what women have to do to bring new life into the world.
When women become mothers, they not only become mothers to that child but to entire generations. The child she bears begets children and so on and so on. The Muslim people can trace their lineage all the way back to Hagar, the mother of Ishmael. The scriptures present this plainly when talking about Eve and Sarah:
Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.
Genesis 3:20
I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.” Genesis 17:16
While God may have inflicted women with pains in childbearing, He did care for them and watched over them knowing they were essential to bringing forth His children into the world of consciousness. Mothers play a critical role into how well a child grows into an adult. Mothers who teach and abide by the lessons from the scriptures develop children who are better equipped to face the challenges of this world. It is all about Love and women are better able to express it than men.
Our Father in Heaven exudes Love and could be compared to a Mother as well. His love for us is much like a mother and His hope is that we honor Him just like we do our parents. For He is the true Parent of all mankind.
So this weekend, make an extra special attempt to honor the one who carried you for 9 months, experienced pain and suffering during your introduction into this plane of existence and cared for you as a child.
