This week saw the downfall of three billionaires. These men were very wealthy and seemed to have it all. Unfortunately money cannot protect you from death or prison.
Jeffrey Epstein was arrested for allegedly sex trafficking dozens of minors in New York and Florida between 2002 and 2005, and appeared in court this past week.
Chris Cline and Ross Perot died this week as well. Chris Cline in a helicopter crash and Ross Perot of complications from Leukemia.
All of these men were not just millionaires but billionaires. All of their money and success could not prevent their death or allow them to get away with abusing underage women. This week was a watershed moment for all of them and should be a warning to all of the rich out there that condemnation is coming for all of them if they do not change their ways. The Lord God Himself made it possible for these men to grow in wealth and it is He who will hold them accountable in the last days.
What did Jesus say? It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle...
This world is filled with pleasure and riches and glory for all who seek that sort of thing but in the end justice will come to us all. The wages of sin is death and as Solomon said a lot of this is grasping for the wind.
"For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits." James 1:11
Money is nice to have but it cannot buy happiness or access to Heaven. We must focus our efforts on the scripture, seeking God's kingdom rather than Lucifer's and He through His mighty power will make it possible for us to succeed. This is the true path to riches. The one less taken unfortunately.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:33
Seek ye first and go forth in love and charity and you will be a rich person in the eyes of God and will be protected from His judgment upon mankind.
