Gods Plan for You
Experts say 92 percent of the people who make New Years Resolutions fail to achieve them. This would back up Benjamin Franklin's quote- Those who fail to plan, plan to fail. As we enter the month of March, it is probably safe to say that most of those resolutions written down on January 1 have already been broken.
So we will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart.” Jeremiah 18:12
However, I am here to tell you that there is a path to success. A man's plans will lead him astray. Whereas those who trust in God will see their plans achieved. The difference is that we need to embrace God's plan for our lives and relinquish our own. Hard to do? Yes But worth it? It is.
You may have heard the saying Let Go, Let God. This is essentially the mantra we need to repeat over and over. The challenge in the Garden of Eden was simply this - Do I listen to the God who created me or make it on my own. Adam and Eve chose the latter and look how that has worked out for us. Not very well I am sure you will agree.
God is waiting for you to give up our selfish ways and embrace His plan for our life here on terra firma. If you are willing to just be silent and faithful, God will appear in your life in such unbelievable ways. It is like driving a car. We want to drive. In order to reach the right destination though, we not only have to move to the passenger seat but the backseat and let God drive. It is safer back there. His way is filled with less strife and bumps in the road. And when He is driving, you won't run out of gas on a desolate road.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29
God's waiting on you right now. He is ready to take the wheel whenever you are ready to relinquish it. We cannot make it on this Earth without Him. There are tooo many stories in history to back this up. Why not learn from the failures of figures from the past and embrace the amazing future that could be yours for the taking. You just have to have faith. Easy right?
No it isn't but is it worth the struggle? I am here to tell you it is. I am living proof of leaning on God's plan rather than my own. Throughout all of the struggles, there has always been a roof over my head, food in my belly and love in my heart. A new car would be nice but I leave that up to God to provide it at the right time.
Relinquish your selfish plans and embrace God to plan your way. His Way is always better than ours and is filled with prosperity, hope and joy. May God richly bless you this week.
And that is the Whole Truth!
Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.
And remember,
God always answers His kneemail.
