There is plenty to complain about here on mother Earth. It's a dog eat dog world and everyone is out to knock you off the pedestal. Just look at the 2020 presidential race and you will see it in living color.
The scriptures remind us to encourage one another daily. When was the last time you encouraged some one? We live in a sin filled existence and it becomes human nature to trash talk someone else in an effort to bolster our own self ego.
This is not the way of God or His children. The word courage is in the word encourage and in a world of defeat, disappointment and failure, courage is the one thing we need to overcome the challenges before us.
Self talk is good but usually the obstacles in our way are more easier to overcome if we have a cheering section rooting us on. Historically, mothers are our first glimpse of this in action and it is no surprise they get a lot of the praise from their sons on the playing field when the camera pans to them.
"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness."
In the NKJV it is exhort.
We need to be encouraged so that we will not be hardened against one another and will not fall into the trap of deceitfulness. So many do and they pay the price, sometimes with their very life. This is why we need to encourage EVERYONE, no matter the situation. Encouragement and kind words are the weapons we can use to save our fellow brothers and sisters.
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Proverbs 12:25
We need to be encouraged to read the Bible and be transformed by it. The enemy knows that is the path to Life.
that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God,
Colossians 2:2
Don't you want to know the mystery of God? I know I do. Encourage each other, root one another on. We must place our own self interests to the side and support those around us to become the best they can be. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Amen..
