He is Risen
The early morning of Sunday 33 AD started out as any regular day. Except it would not stay that way. This day would go down in infamy as the day death itself was destroyed by God Himself emerging from the tomb that Joseph of Arimathea placed him in on the previous Friday.
On that glorious morning, Jesus rose from the rock he was lying on and walked out of the tomb. This was going to be bad news for the priests of that day as the man they had sought to kill and silence was no longer dead. From this day forward, their rule in Jerusalem would begin a downhill slide for a little more than 35 years until the Temple itself would be destroyed.
But on this day, Jesus would restore the spiritual Temple and through His apostles would spread the world far and wide that God loves us and wants us to be with Him forever.
Jesus victory over death is our victory. His sacrifice was the atonement necessary since the day of Adam and Eve to restore the kingdom God had planned for mankind all along. No more tears, no more sorrow. Jesus made all things new again just like He did at Creation.
Praise God for Jesus life, death and resurrection that we might be saved from the grave. Saved from oblivion and saved for a new world where love is the law and evil is not even a distant memory.
Thank you Lord. I pray for all those reading this that their hearts may be transformed by your healing power and awakened by the power of your grace. May we be grafted into your vine and draw the sustenance and endurance to run the race until we meet you at the finish line. Victorious over death just like you on this day. Amen.
And that is the Whole Truth!
May God truly bless you in your walk with Him.
And remember, God always answers His kneemail.
