Hopefully most people know the Bible was not written in English. If not, well you learn something everyday. The original scriptures were written on parchment paper and rolled up into scrolls. The Old Testament was largely written in Hebrew with a little Aramaic sprinkled in near the end. So we really have to look to the Hebrew language for true interpretation of the words in the Bible.
We all know the story of Adam and Eve but when you use the Blue Letter Bible app and highlight the word man, you get the Hebrew word for man which is Adam!
So Adam and man are the same word in the Hebrew. So the word mankind could be stated as Adamkind.
Remember, God brought all of the animals to Adam to name them and he did the same with the woman. In Hebrew the word Woman is Ishshah. It is also the same word for wife. But Adam named Eve which is Chavvah in Hebrew pronounced Hav aH which sounds like Eve.
Adam and Eve were the start of God's master plan to demonstrate His love for His creation. He wanted to expose it to the revolution that was going on with Lucifer. He wanted to exhibit to all of the Host of Heaven what happens when you become separated from God. For almost 6,000 years, we have been wandering in the wilderness searching for a way back to the Garden of Eden.
But God had a way to do that too. To solve the problem of sin and restore Paradise back on Earth,
He would give of Himself through His Son to be a sacrifice and allow himself to be subject to Lucifer. Lucifer wasted no time to beat Him and kill Him just as God knew he would. But God had the last laugh in raising Himself from the grave and overcoming death. An act He has promised to all who seek Him rather than separation.
Since Jesus was born of a virgin and not of man, He is not truly Adam. This would make since being that He was truly God.
Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Philippines 2:6
Born in the likeness of men (Adam). But was of God and not Adam. Adam was the Alpha of mankind and Jesus was the Alpha of God. The Alpha of God came to redeem Adam (man).
For all my fellow men out there, we are all Adam. Like Adam, God sees our nakedness and nothing is hidden from Him. While we may try to hide in the bushes of our shame, God still sees us and is calling our name to join Him in the walk through the garden. We are all being given the choices Adam was given in the garden and those choices lead to communion with sin or communion with Him.
We cannot blame Adam for the fall as we know we would have probably done the same. We continue to live with that separation from God every day. Jesus came and provided a way for us to be cleansed of that original sin and reconnect with the Creator whose master plan does have a happy ending. One that finds us rejoining Him on that walk through the garden in the cool of the day.
Come Lord Jesus and rescue us from this Adam of sin.
And that is the Whole Truth!
May God truly bless you in your walk with Him.
And remember, God always answers His kneemail.
