You are NOT alone

If there is one thing this Pandemic has accomplished, it is to separate us from one another. Health officials will say it is good for all of us to remain isolated so as to not spread the virus. While that may be true, the outcome of extended periods of isolation can have other effects on the human psyche. Effects that may be more damaging than the virus itself.

Prisoners who have been placed in solitary confinement report the effects it has on the mental well being and classify it as cruel and unusual punishment. If you have found yourself sitting alone at home, I want to encourage you to understand you are never really alone.

Genesis 2 says

And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone;

Psalm 23

For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

God's spirit lives within each one of us. This is the Whole Truth, Scripture backs this up time and time again.

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3

The Spirit of the Living God dwells within you. Therefore, you can never be alone. All we need do is ask and He will respond. Maybe not audibly or right away but the God of the Bible loves you more than you know and as His child will act upon your request one way or another. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Micah 7

The Lord will be a light to me.

The Scriptures are full of examples of God coming to the rescue or comforting His people. As His people, we need only call upon Him and He will answer. I could post a thousand examples of this in my own life. It is true and it is awesome. if you are alive, healthy and free of the virus, God has already been watching over you. Seek His Spirit and comfort on you and have faith He will deliver.

Being alone is not good for the human, Whether physically, mentally or spiritually. At least the Bible has a path out of that isolation in the pages of its 66 books. Spend some time in there everyday and try and prove me wrong. He will make a way and comfort you in this season of trial and testing of your faith. You will become a much stronger warrior for Him because of it.

Understand your true worth to God. A worth that required the torture and death of His Son on a cross. He did this not only for me but you too. He has a plan for you and wants you to know you are never alone. Even as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

And that is the Whole Truth!
